Honey Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Optional: sesame seeds red pepper flakes, lime wedges

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, cornstarch, and water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return broccoli to the skillet and toss everything together until coated.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds or lime wedges if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook the shrimp to keep them juicy and tender.
For a gluten-free version, replace soy sauce with tamari.
Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
